About Us
Skin Lab Aesthetics Academy is a medically led training provider specialising in advanced PDO thread education for aesthetic practitioners across the UK. Founded by award-winning doctor and PhD-qualified dermatologist Dr Shaymaa Sadeq, the academy was established to address gaps in safety, anatomical understanding and post-course support within the aesthetics training sector.
The academy delivers structured, evidence-based PDO thread training with a strong emphasis on facial anatomy, complication management, ethical practice and long-term practitioner development. In addition to clinical education, Skin Lab Aesthetics Academy supports practitioners with mentorship and guidance to help them build safe, sustainable and reputable aesthetic practices.
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, the academy works with practitioners nationwide and is committed to raising standards, accountability and education within the UK aesthetics industry.
